Blaise Pascal once wrote, “All men’s miseries derive from not being able to sit in a quiet room alone.”

I have yet to sit with myself and be at peace whether I’m alone, with a loved one, or in a crowded room. Thus, I suppose it stands to reason that all my misery lies within myself.
